Job Description: Graphic Designer under Marketing Department

Report To Marketing Manager or Team Leaders

Position Summary:

The Graphic Designer position oversees all the tasks of creating design solutions which have a high visual impact. The role involves listening to specific needs and interpreting to actual design works.

This individual is competent in modern design toolkits and is able to work independently. Moreover, the ability to conduct self-research, analyze and transform into relevant outcomes is highly appreciated.

Responsibilities

  •  Interpreting business needs and developing a concept to suit its objectives and purposes.
  •  Developing design briefs by gathering information and data through research.
  •  Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts.  Using innovation to redefine a design brief within the time constraints.  Contributing ideas and design artwork to the overall brief.
  •  Working on layouts and art working pages ready for print.
  •  Keeping abreast of emerging technologies in new media, particularly design programs such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.
  •  Be able to manipulate 3D design and movie/film maker programs are advantageous.
  •  Developing interactive design.

Working hours

Working hours are typically 40 hours a week, with some flexibility around start and finish times. Extra hours are likely when deadlines are approaching, and this may involve working into the early or late hours to get the tasks done.

Experience and Education required

  •  Graduand with Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design.
  •  Understanding and knowledge in marketing are advantageous.
  •  At least 6 months or 1 year of experience as a freelancer or a part time employee in design field.
  •  Intermediate level in English is a plus.
